Taking pictures can be a reflection of the heart.

No two people will capture a scene

                                                         quite the same way,

         or read the same meaning from its contents.

As I travel, I find I am attracted to windows and doors.

for me, windows are intriguing.... Whose lives unfold inside?

    How are the colors of those relationships

                                                                     intwined together?

What mysteries lurk beyond the lace?

What warm laughter or cold emptiness

                                               lives beyond the glass?

Doors can be fascinating...

they hold the challenge life so often brings...

they reflect life's journey...

        doors flung wide that eagerly beckon...

             to what chance encounter, what path beyond?

old, scarred, wooden doors,

holding back secrets, surrounded by ivy...

gates left closed by fear or choice,

                                never to be happened on again.
